Investment in cleantech companies has been affected by recent geopolitical and market changes, with skittish investors re-evaluating future commitments in both Canada and the U.S., according to the principal of a B.C.-based venture capital investment fund.

Erin Madro, head of energy and a principal for Evok Innovations, told DOB Energy in an exclusive interview that from a financing perspective, the current climate came after investment reached “an absolute high” during the Covid era.
