A longtime Silicon Valley executive and investor, Marty Reed moved to Vancouver in 2015 to launch Evok Innovations. Prior to Evok, Marty was a Partner with The Roda Group, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on clean technology, where he led investments and board activities for mOasis, Svante (formerly Inventys), Gridtential and Axine.

At Evok, Marty sits on the board of five cleantech companies: Ekona Power, Sanctuary AI, MineSense, Disa Technologies and VEERUM.

Prior to Roda, Marty was a serial entrepreneur holding senior positions (CEO, CFO) at Ask Jeeves (acq. by InterActiveCorp), Game Ready(acq. by Avanos Medical), and Cardstore.com (acq. by American Greetings).

 

Marty holds an MBA from John F. Kennedy University, a BSc in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon, and began his career as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.
