Jane has spent her career working at the intersection of innovation and impact, helping startups scale, navigate policy, and break into hard-to-crack markets. Jane joined Evok Innovations as Partner in March 2022.

​

Prior to Evok, Jane was at MaRS Discovery District, a launchpad for Canadian startups that have cumulatively raised $19B and generated over $11B in revenue since 2010. She initially supported the growth of hundreds of climate-focused startups, and ultimately became Vice President of Growth where she was responsible for the development and delivery of programs, products and services for over 1,000 tech and hard-tech ventures across all sectors.

Prior to MaRS, Jane co-founded, scaled and exited a renewable energy company. During this time, she led the company through technology development, three acquisitions, capital raises, and a national market expansion, culminating in a successful acquisition by a publicly traded company.

Jane sits on the board of Evok portfolio companies Planetary, e-Zinc and Rodatherm. She is a member of the MaRS Climate Innovation Board, a board member of the Ontario Clean Technology Industry Association, a volunteer mentor to startups and industry groups, and a recognized voice in Canada’s climate tech ecosystem. Jane is a Clean50 and Clean16 recipient. She was a member of the Expert Panel on Clean Growth for the Canadian Climate Institute, and a cleantech and energy faculty member at Singularity University.

Jane holds an MBA from Columbia University, and a BSc from the University of Calgary, and a BA from Western University.
